Republic of Ireland international Katie McCabe has signed a new contract with Arsenal, it was announced today on the clubs official website.
Arsenal, who currently sit top of the Women’s Super League table, have not disclosed the details as to the duration of the contract extension, however it is a clear indication as to the regard the former Shelbourne player is held.
McCabe, who joined the north London side in 2015, has scored 8 goals in the league to date this season, and has made 58 appearances for the team over the duration of her tenure.
Having gone on loan to Glasgow City in 2017, she was part of a strong Irish presence that helped the club to title success during her time in Scotland.
Joe Montemurro, the Australian coach of the side, was acclamatory towards McCabe:
