Jeff Hendrick scored a stunning late equalizer in his 100th Premier League appearance.
The Burnley midfielder earned the Clarets a 1-1 draw in Brighton with a fantastic low strike from 25 yards in stoppage time.
Hendrick – who recently made his 50th senior international appearance against Switzerland – rifled the ball into the bottom corner after being teed up by Matej Vydra, leaving Brighton ‘keeper Mat Ryan with no chance.
The 91st-minute strike was Burnley’s only shot on target at the Amex Stadium, where they fell behind through Neil Maupay’s opener.
Hendrick replaced Aaron Lennon just before the hour mark with Burnley trailing 1-0 following Maupay’s 51st-minute goal.
The dramatic late leveller was the Irish midfielder first shot of the season, and just his second league appearance for Sean Dyche’s side in the 2019/20 campaign.
