Troy Parrott scored four goals as Spurs U19s thrashed Red Star Belgrade 9-2 in the UEFA Youth League.

The Dubliner is now the top scorer in the European competition with five goals.

Parrott scored a brace in either half to help Spurs on their way to their first win in three attempts in Group B.

Borisav Burmaz pulled a goal back for the visitors before the interval, giving Spurs a 3-1 lead at half time.

Max Robson scored Spurs’ fourth goal, before an own goal from Malcahi Walcott gave the Serbs a brief lifeline.

Parrott completed his hat-trick from the penalty spot with 15 minutes remaining, dispatching his spot kick emphatically after Dennis Cirken was fouled in the box.

Kion Etete added Spurs’ sixth in the closing stages, applying a clinical finish to a low cross.

Parrott made it 7-2, producing a tidy sliding finish to plunder his fourth goal.

The Irish teenager was then involved in an argument with teammate Harvey White over a free kick, before eventually running over the ball to leave the ball to White, who found the top corner with a sublime set piece.

Paris Maghoma got his name on the scoresheet in the dying seconds to round off a comprehensive victory for the North London club.

Parrott has now scored 10 goals in eight appearances for club and country this season in all competitions.

The teenager’s prolific start to the cacampaign has reportedly caught the attention of German giants Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund.

A Premier League debut is surely imminent.
