Republic of Ireland international Sean Maguire has joined Coventry City from Preston.
The 28-year-old has joined the Championship side until the end of the 2022/23 season, and the striker feels the Sky Blues will get the best out of him.
“There’s a desire to do well and I feel like this is the club for me to get the best out of me and I don’t think people have seen that in the last few years," Maguire told the club website.
“I think the manager is the right man to get the best out of me and I really think anything can happen this season."
Coventry manager Mark Robins is also looking forward to working with the former Dundalk and Cork City striker.
“We’re very pleased to welcome Sean to Coventry City," he said.
“He is an experienced striker at this level, who has a number of qualities that will help us between now and the end of the season.
“He can hold up the ball well and is adept at bringing others into play.
“He will provide a very good option for us in the forward area, and we look forward to working with him.”
Maguire, who made 170 appearances for Preston after joining the club in 2017, has scored one international goal in 12 appearances for the Boys in Green.
Coventry are currently 15th in the Championship, four places and five points behind Preston.
