Donegal have pulled out of their McKenna Cup semi-final against Monaghan on Sunday.
13 members of the Donegal panel are in action in the Sigerson Cup this weekend, and manager Declan Bonner has now confirmed that the Ulster county won't contest the match against Armagh.
Donegal, who beat Derry at Celtic Park by 1-10 to 0-08 on Wednesday night to reach the last four of the competition, saw a request to defer the game for 48 hours rejected by the Ulster Council.
"We won't have a team," Bonner told the Donegalsporthub website earlier this week.
"We have 13 players playing Sigerson. That's exactly where we are. I stated this very strongly on Sunday. Something needs to be done. We just don't have the numbers."
Down, who face Tyrone in the other McKenna Cup semi-final, also requested a delay due to fixture congestion.
Despite the Ulster Council's insistence that both semi-finals would go ahead, Bonner's team have now taken matters into their own hands.
“Regrettably ,we will not be fulfilling this fixture," Bonner told Highland Radio Sport.
Monaghan will now face either Down or Tyrone in the final.
