Jim Gavin has stepped down as Dublin manager after guiding the Boys in Blue to an historic five-in-a-row.
Dublin won 18 of a possible 21 trophies during Gavin's wildly successful reign, including seven Leinster Championships, six All-Ireland's and five league titles following his appointment in 2012.
The Dubs dominated the game under Gavin, winning 44 out of 48 Championship games under the departing manager.
Gavin also won an All-Ireland title with Dublin as a player in 1995, and managed the Dublin U21s to All-Ireland titles in 2010 and 2012.
"Jim Gavin has this morning informed the County Officers, his management team and players that he was handing back the reins of the Dublin Senior Football team to the County Committee," an official statement read.
"Dublin GAA will be forever grateful to Jim Gavin for his dedication, commitment and contribution as a player and, since 2003, leading the next generation of players at U21 and Senior level," Chairman of the County Committee Seán Shanley said.
"I regret his departure but appreciate the huge sacrifices he has made over this period.
"The committee will commence the process of considering suitable candidates to replace Jim and his management team shortly."
